Some people come to therapy because of a crisis in their life -- the loss of a job, an unexpected illness, the death of a family member or long-time partner, a new illness or disability. Many other come to therapy knowing that things are just not right but are not sure why they feel that way. Some feel anxious or depressed for no specific reason and just want to feel happier. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, therapy is a great process to help you better understand the feelings that you have. My hope is that you'll re-discover old ways or find new ways to manage those feelings.
